The new integrated skatepark was an incredibly important re-development, long advocated for by the local skate and bike community. The new park design pays homage to the park’s original layout while updating the flow of obstacles, transitions, and street terrain. The traditional bowl features a 9ft deep end complete with diamond grind coping that provides a unique feel and sound to grinds and slides. The authentic street elements like ledges, hubbas, down rail, manual pad, and flat bar are complimented by more standard skatepark obstacle terrain like the centralized table, transitioned hip, spine, and quarterpipes. As witnessed at the park’s grand opening and an endorsement from skateboard legend, Patti McGee, this will be an incredibly well-used facility for generations to come.
