A well-loved community skate space nestled within the town of Bonita Springs, Florida required replacement after damage caused by Hurricane Irma. Thanks to a driven community unified by their love of skateboarding and the City’s commitment to fostering active lifestyles, a new dynamic and inclusive skate park was re-imagined and built to suit, boasting 15,000 sqft of rideable terrain. Equipped with a spectator area and shade, the park models modernized architecture and well-balanced rideable terrain. The pump track, bowl, and street sections welcome various types of wheeled users and showcase thoughtful connections between the zones, much reflective of the vibrant culture of the Bonita Springs community. Located at the Recreation Center Complex on Pine Avenue, the Bonita Springs Skate Park was supported by The Glassperts, local community, and in 2021 the project received $280,000 in grant money to fund the design and construction of this significant gathering place.
