Located at Rick Oden Park, this long-awaited community hub is the second largest skatepark in Texas and the sixth largest in the country. Aptly named after the forefather of adaptive skateboarding, The Jon Comer Memorial Skatepark was thoughtfully designed with all ages, skill levels, and abilities in mind, including three main terrain areas with a dedicated beginners area – the first of its kind within a Texas skate park. Strategically placed shade structures and a full lighting system also allow park users to maximize its use year round.
With overflowing support and a long-term commitment from the community, there is no doubt that The Jon Comer Memorial Skatepark will positively contribute to the vibrancy of Garland and serve as a tribute to Jon’s legacy for many years to come.
