El Mirage Skate Plaza - El Mirage, AZ

The City of El Mirage is home to Arizona's first bona fide skate plaza! Designed by New Line Skateparks with construction by CA Skateparks, this one of a kind real street haven is home to a diverse combination of ledges, rails, hips, banks, gaps, cantilevered tranny's, and sculptural features designed to appeal to the most novice through advanced skater.  Integral coloured concrete and textured block detailing rounds off the park for an authentic urban feel and fitting aesthetic with the surrounding Arizona landscape. The plaza opened the summer of 2009 and is located in New City Park (just South of Peoria Ave and Mirage Rd). Thanks to Doug Strong for the photos.
